UJ celebrates Unruh School of Character in Leadership & Reuben and Clarice Liechty Center for Faith and Life

Jamestown, ND (09/23/2025) — Dedication Ceremony: Unruh School of Character in Leadership & Reuben and Clarice Liechty Center for Faith and Life

What:
The University of Jamestown invites media to the dedication of the Unruh School of Character in Leadership, Voorhees Chapel and the Reuben and Clarice Liechty Center for Faith and Life. This special event will honor the vision and generosity of key donors and celebrate the University's commitment to character, leadership, faith, and service.

A special highlight will be the viewing of The Saint John's Bible Heritage Collection. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience this rare and beautiful illuminated Bible up close.

When:
Friday, September 26, 2025
Ceremony begins at 4:00 PM

Event Highlights:

  • Welcome by Brett Moser, VP of Development
  • Prayer by Kirstie Dobson, Director of Campus Ministry
  • Remarks from Dr. Polly Peterson, President
  • Donor tributes and musical performances by the Dr. Richard Smith Alumni Choir
  • Blessing of The Saint John's Bible Heritage Collection by Rev. Dr. John F. Foss
  • Student testimony and dedication prayer
  • Donor recognition and community celebration

Media Opportunities:

  • Arrange interviews with key donors, university leadership, student participants, project architects, and project managers.
  • Capture photos and video footage throughout the ceremony, including musical performances, the inaugural public recognition of Voorhees Chapel's inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places, and the exclusive viewing of The Saint John's Bible Heritage Collection.
