University of Jamestown Announces 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees and Rollie Greeno and Jim Clark Award Winners

Alumni in ND, SD, Colorado, Minnesota to be honored

Jamestown, ND (07/10/2025) — The University of Jamestown Booster Club proudly announces the 2025 inductees into the Jimmie Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony, which also includes recognition of the Rollie Greeno and Jim Clark Award Winners, will be held Friday, Oct. 3, as part of the university's 100th Homecoming celebration, running Oct. 3-5.

The Athletic Hall of Fame honors coaches, standout athletes, distinguished graduates and supporters who have made significant contributions to the university's mission and athletic department. This year's inductees are:

Aleona Reyes '16

A standout in track and cross country, Reyes was a three-time NAIA cross country All-American (2011-13) and the leading scorer for the Jimmie women's cross-country team. She set a school record in the 2014 distance medley relay and ranks in the top 10 in multiple UJ track events, including the 800, 1,500, 5,000, 3,000 steeplechase, 600 indoor, 1,000 indoor and 1-mile indoor. Reyes was a member of three DAC conference title teams (2011, 2013, 2014).

Sarah Becker '14

Becker led the nation in hitting percentage in 2013, ranking seventh all-time in NAIA history. She was a two-time NAIA second-team All-American and two-time first-team All-Conference selection. Becker earned DAC second-team All-Conference honors and was named conference player of the year in 2011. She also was AVCA Northwest regional player of the year and NSAA conference player of the year in 2013. A four-year starter, Becker now works as a therapist at the Emily Program in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Mandi (Zimney) Krueger '98

Krueger was the NDCAC individual champion in 1994 and NAIA Great Plains region individual champion in 1997. She qualified for NAIA nationals all four years and won six NDCAC track event titles, earning 15 All-Conference honors. At graduation, she was the third-leading career cross country scorer and still ranks fifth in the 1,000 and 10th in the 800 on UJ's top-10 list. Krueger lives in Loveland, Colorado, with her husband and three daughters and works as a real estate agent.

Sam Joseph, '06

Joseph ranks among the top Jimmie baseball players despite only two seasons with the team. At graduation, he was second all-time in doubles (26), home runs (24), RBIs (122), total bases, walks and slugging percentage. He remains the only two-year player with more than 100 career RBIs. Joseph was a member of the 2004 baseball team inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. He lives in Jamestown with his wife and three children and works for the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The Rollie Greeno Award for outstanding commitment in the field of education and coaching honors individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to youth through their careers in the education and/or coaching professions. This year's award winner is Tim Graf, '83.

Graf's nearly 40-year career in education and coaching includes roles as teacher, coach, principal, athletic director and superintendent in North Dakota and South Dakota. His honors include basketball coach of the year, athletic director of the year, North Dakota region high school principal of the year, South Dakota school administrator of the year and South Dakota superintendent of the year. Graf will retire in 2025 and lives in Wilmot, South Dakota, with his wife.

The Jim Clark Award for outstanding commitment to character driven, servant leadership honors individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to serving others through their career since leaving the University of Jamestown. This year's award winner is Lynette Fitterer.

Fitterer, who passed away in June 2024, will receive this award posthumously. A 1987 graduate, she broke the UJ javelin record and ranks in the top 10 on the school's javelin list. She coached Jimmie women's basketball and track and later was a student coach for the NDSU Bison women's basketball team. Fitterer was a respected educator and coach in North Dakota, served as mayor of New Salem, and umpired softball for 25 years, including a national tournament. She dedicated her life to her students, athletes, nieces and nephews. A new interactive display showcasing all past Hall of Fame inductees is now available for viewing in person at the Harold Newman Arena, offering fans and visitors a unique way to celebrate the legacy of Jimmie athletics.

The Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will begin with a social at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:45 p.m., and the ceremony at 6 p.m. Tickets for the event are $20 and available at https://www.uj.edu/events/homecoming-2025/.
