The Xi Kappa-at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing recognizes nursing students and community nurse leaders who have demonstrated achievements in nursing, leadership qualities and high professional standards. University of Jamestown recently recognized inductees who will graduate in May 2021.

The Xi Kappa-at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing recognizes nursing students and community nurse leaders who have demonstrated achievements in nursing, leadership qualities and high professional standards. University of Jamestown recently recognized inductees who will graduate in May 2020.

All five members of the University of Jamestown Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter who attended the North Dakota PBL State Leadership Conference placed in competitions. Approximately 90 students from North Dakota college chapters participated in this conference, which was held in Grand Forks from March 31 - April 1.

This award is presented to the UJ nursing student who has been selected for one of the following honors by the NDNSA: North Dakota Student Nurse of the Year, President of NDNSA, or recipient of NDNSA State Leadership Award. This award represents not only the internalization of the leadership role of the nurse by the student, but also its implementation, as evidence by the student's participation and recognition in NSA.

The Student life Outstanding Student Leader Award recognizes an outstanding student leader at the University of Jamestown who has demonstrated a pattern of success in all aspects of their college experience.

The First Year Excellence Award is given to a first year student who has demonstrated a pattern of success in their transition to the University of Jamestown. Student must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and must have completed 15 credit hours.

On Wednesday, April 29th at 7:30 PM in the University of Jamestown's Voorhees Chapel, the Convocation Committee sponsors the UJ History Club's presentation on World War II.

Alpha Chi, the National College Honor Scholarship Society, is a coeducational society whose purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those achieving such distinction. Local chapters admit to active membership those junior and senior students of good character who rank in the upper tenth of their class.
